From 1990 until 1992 Chuck Langston and David Black worked the Greenville Spartanburg Area as broker associates with the commercial division of Cothran, Sims, Barker, Inc.  During this period their efforts and attention became more and more focused on the area surrounding the Greenville-Spartanburg Airport.  In September of 1992, Langston-Black Real Estate, Inc. was formed and took up residence on West Poinsett Street in the City of Greer.  This location permitted the company to develop a meaningful presence in the community.  In April of 1995, needing more space, Langston-Black relocated to offices at 803 South Buncombe Road.  In July of 1998, Langston-Black renovated 218 Trade Street, a building built in the early 1900’s,  and moved their offices to the second floor of this building.   Langston-Black’s move to downtown Greer at this time represented the company’s commitment to Greer’s downtown and provided an important step in the revitalization of the downtown area.  In January of 2007, once again needing a larger office, Langston-Black moved to 310 B Bennett Center Drive located in the Bennett Center office park.  This park is located just off of Pennsylvania Avenue and Poinsett Street, behind the Greer library.

          The Upstate area is very fortunate in that it has been experiencing a period of phenomenal growth and Langston-Black Real Estate, Inc. has been privileged to share in that growth.  In addition to serving the community's commercial real estate needs, our associates have experienced a great deal of personal enrichment from involvement in various community activities ranging from the Greater Greer Chamber of Commerce to Greer Community Ministries.
